Community Yard Sale

St. Anne’s Retirement Community Yard Sale to benefit Pet Committee – public invited to purchase plot / sell items!  Held September 18, 2010, the St. Anne’s yard sale is held in conjunction with the annual Mountville yard sale. 10’ x 20’ yard sale plots are available to the public on a first-come first-serve basis. The plots will be conveniently located on St. Anne’s front lawn, facing Columbia Avenue. Just $15 will reserve a plot, and the seller can keep all their profits! All proceeds of the plot sales will benefit the St. Anne's Retirement Community pet committee. It’s a well known fact that having a cat, dog, or other pet makes life a little brighter! Pets can provide excellent social support, stress relief and other health benefits—perhaps sometimes more than people! That’s why in addition to the over 250 Residents, St. Anne’s Retirement Community is also home to more than 20 pets! From cats to fish, turtles, and birds, our furry and feathery friends are an integral part of the community life. In order to care for all these pets, St. Anne’s has established a pet committee to raise funds for pet food, vet visits, grooming, and general care. St. Anne’s also recently had to retire two therapy dogs, which cost nearly $3,000 each to replace. The committee’s largest fundraiser is the annual yard sale.

St. Anne’s will also have a concession stand for the enjoyment of visitors (and additional fund raising.)  For more information or to reserve your plot, please contact Karen Kuhn at 285-6105.
